“What inspires you?”
That was the question posed to me early this morning.
Two hours later, I’m still thinking about that question. So let me talk just a bit about what
is going through my mind.
My life’s Purpose is to encourage with my words and inspire with my life.
The Challenge is to inspire through the hurt and trying times. But maybe that’s just it, at
this time; the inspiration will be the perseverance during the pressure.
As I’m thinking, pouring into the lives of others gives me strength and a sense of
demonstrating purpose, this is what inspires me…
It is my desire to see the teachings; examples and experiences of my life help others learn
what to do and not to do. I hope to become the example, to teach others to follow my
successes, deviate from my failures and not fall into the same disappointments I have faced.
We know that trouble will meet us all, but grace has ensured our victory, and examples
have been set to make our journey most efficient.
Will I be able to bring a change to every life I touch if we have nothing in common? I say
yes! We can all learn something from anyone regardless of the status quo, gender, race,
belief system and financial status.
What are the principles of success we can take away from the examples we see, hear and
are familiar with? This should be our question.
Never underestimate your ability or the ability of others to see the light at the end of the
tunnel. Every one of us was created with purpose by a God that has great plans for us,
therefore, He is who we need to connect with.
My current position is to be receptive and learn from what is occurring in my surroundings.
To look below the surface and (see) the truth regardless of the differences that may be
most apparent or in spite of what may be obvious similarities.
Is it easy? No, however it’s not impossible. If my purpose is to inspire, it is of extreme
importance to see through God’s perception. To go deeper, to look past the surface beyond
what my natural eyes can see.
