You cannot have my joy, nor my pursuit. Think of this, if I enumerate my success based on your standard, you will not only dictate my satisfaction, but also the way I lead my life. So, it is enough to become the best me. It is also enough for you, to become the best you. No other version, simply us, authentic to our purpose. As for my inspiration; what if I become more inspired with my creator rather than the creations of others? We scroll and double tap so often, we lose originality.
Now if I pursue God for my purpose, I no longer require myself to measure up to anyone; not him or her or them. I only have to be lifted up. And to do that, well, it requires more of my willingness rather than my greatness. Because I pursue actual perfection, the desire for perfection is satisfied in Christ. This leaves me only one option. Create that which fully captures my admiration. Jesus said it best.
I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does. John 5:19
And in another place… Jesus Says
For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. John 12:49
Do not invite the heartache of living up to “their” potential because you will always grow tired. Instead, give to God that which He desires. Your heart. And Why? To Loved you better than you can ever measure or understand. This is my pursuit, to be loved by God, to receive His Love and to give that which was freely given to me. This also exemplifies my Love for Him. I invite you into this life with me! Let’s see God as Jesus did, and do that which He is inspiring us to do.
What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Matthew 10:27
