Have you ever felt compressed? No, really, compressed, backed into the corner with no way out? Hands to the plow, moving forward but every moment there is another obstacle, another fight! Well, I’m here to reiterate the words of our Lord “they will hate you because they hated me… First”. There are no days off, we fight, and we keep going, but be encouraged, the sword we yield is not our own. We are partakers of a violent war, but the fight is not against the flesh we see and the blood we bleed, this fight is not in vain. It pleased the Father that the blood of His Son streamed down that wooden cross because it meant we would overcome!
Tell the enemy, GET OUT MY WAY!
Be empowered by
HolySpirit. Just as Jesus made a stand about His identity and who God called Him to be, so we will do the same. Jesus fought His way through the crowd after the daring proclamation of who He truly is, The God who Abraham Saw and the Salvation of the World. They couldn’t accept who Jesus is and they did everything in their power to silence Him.
Stephen was stoned after he proclaimed what He saw. The Son of Man, standing at the right hand of the Father. Saul watched and approved because he was not yet convicted of the Truth.
Our greatest victory is our trust in Christ. The ability to believe and be convicted of His Word. Not only by our mind but our heart, from where our life flows and where we have been recreated. This truth is what the enemy fears because it leaves him disarmed. I pray that you are empowered by this song because I’ve felt compressed and the Truth of God’s Word ushered in His surpassing peace. Enter your secret place with our Father and allow Him to flood your heart. Your identity in Christ, your revelation of Him, this is what I pray you will grasp as you open your heart to Him, who has set us free.
WE DON’T QUIT. Be defeated or be an overcomer.
