Although we do not put our faith in men, it is extremley encouraging to see men of valour stand on the Word of God in their entrusted dynamics of life. While, not all, men of high status built a reputation to fall away from their beginning faith and live a life nothing short of compromised. We pray that Stephen Curry’s relationship with Jesus Christ continues to deepen as he impacts the world for better.
Stephen Curry, is one of the many professional athletes who are unashamed of their faith in Jesus. On and off the court, Steph is known for showing his passion for Christ. Prior to signing with Under Armour, Steph used to write with a black sharpie “I can do all things” on his sneakers before he played every game. Then, when Under Armour officially gave Steph his first signature shoe it was heavily influenced by his faith. Under Armour released the Curry One with the campaign slogan “Charged By Belief” and 4:13 was written on the tongue. It was referring to Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me”, which was also written on the inside of the tongue as well.
The first Curry Two set to be released is nicknamed “Iron Sharpens Iron” based off of a scripture found in Proverbs.
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17
The “Iron Sharpens Iron” Curry Two will release later this year, Oct. 24th, 2015.
