How to become A proud product of my environment
In what way can this be a good thing even if the environment is a good one? In a way, this will always rob us of becoming the person we are purposed to be. At some point in our lives, we have made changes based on those around us. It is human nature to gravitate to those like us. In every arena of life, we will find cliques. But today I ask: what if this desire is a gift to become that which we are surrounded by?
- the conditions that you live or work in and the way that they influence how you feel or how effectively you can work
In Christ we have our being, it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives through me. Through you. Jesus rises from the grave and appears to the disciples amidst the room. His appearance proclaims His victory. He then breathes His Spirit into them.
“22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” JOHN 20:22-23
When we receive His Spirit, it proclaims our victory. Our new nature in Christ. The Spirit of God sets the standard of our new environment in which we live in, no longer slaves to sin and death, but free in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit, God’s breath becomes the air we breathe, His Spirit becomes the water we drink, the water that cleanses us and the river that flows through our lives. We now live seated from heaven, with the Kingdom of God, His sovereign rule, becoming our land.
Not only did YHWH give us a new Nature, but we also received new surroundings. We live by faith and not by sight. Spending time in the Kingdom of Heaven, the Presence of The Living God, our influence becomes the loving heart of God. He confides in those who fear Him. The Gift of the Holy Spirit, the power, allows us to create our living and working conditions, not only for us but for those around us.
“4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, ‘which,’ He said, ‘you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.’” ACTS 1:4-8
Jesus said, “I do what my Father does and say what my Father says”. Nothing was done on His own accord, nor on the influence of this world. Everything Jesus has done was learned through living in the influence of YHWH.
Living in the presence of God and being surrounded by the presence of God effectively brings the glory and wisdom of God on earth, as we have learned from heaven.
So I say to you, become a proud product of your new environment. Not taking after those around you, but effectually seeking our Lord and Master.
